A DESIGNED ROLEKathrine Coburn

We as designers have a great deal of power within our creative minds and hands. The majority of us Pratt Masters of Industrial Design have some degree of experience in the design industry or in a completely unrelated field of design. I find that the business aspect of design is not considered enough when developing industrial design skills. Designers are the links between demand and the expectations of satisfaction among the market. They translate and combine the demands of the consumer with that of the corporations. My thesis will aid designers, empower them, and help them realize the positive effects they can have on the end user and on any company despite their size.
